Stones Chimney Sweep’s owner, Nick, retired after 30 years of high-class service and has recently been taken over by Swept Away Chimney Sweep. Our owner, Dave, found himself at a company that was closing down and he was looking for something new.

Having been in the fireplace industry for 30 years, he saw an opportunity to be able to offer his expertise and services on fireplaces and wood burning stoves to both existing and potential customers. 

So, Swept Away Chimney Sweep was born. We traded successfully for 5 years going from strength to strength, expanding our services from just sweeping to bird cages, servicing and cowls. We expanded so far as to sweeping over 600 chimneys each year, but we have recently had our biggest business development yet. 

After finding out another chimney business owner was retiring, Swept Away Chimney Sweep also owns Stones Chimney Sweep, which is an equally successful chimney sweeping business, now expanding the business to double the size.

The team currently consists of our owner, Dave, who is our main chimney sweep and servicer. The business is also run by co-owner (also known as Dave’s wife), Angela, who keeps the books in order and helps out with sweeps every Saturday. Dave’s children also support wherever needed helping, by holding a ladder, hoovering and generally learning the trade.
